Greetings and warm welcomes aboard Just B Cruisin'! I'm your dedicated skipper, Captain Paul, and joining me on this seafaring adventure is none other than my lovely wife, Lisa, the First Mate. Settle in, and let me recount the tale that spurred my better half and I to embark on the business venture of a lifetime—our golden retirement project. Hailing from the state of Minnesota, we moved to Cape Coral eight years ago.
My connection with the water isn't something new. Back in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, my love for boating went beyond the lakes sent me to the Gulf. The water has a special charm, bringing pure happiness as you sail over blue waves and see the sparkle of joy in the eyes around you. It's a connection I've always been eager to share, a passion that lies deep in my mariner's soul.
Moving from Minnesota's calm lakes to the huge Gulf was a major shift. I swapped peaceful lake winds for the ocean's salty breath and got used to the unpredictable Gulf mood. The waters are tricky, with sneaky sandbars and changeable weather. They demand respect, and I gave it, sailing with care and deep respect.
As we set sail, full of anticipation, rest assured that Captain Paul and the dedicated First Mate Lisa are committed to making your maritime dreams come alive. Together, let's sail securely and with joy – embark on Just B Cruisin' with us!
Why Just B how did we come up with a name like this. Well, one day, Lisa and I were unwinding on our boat, savoring the serene beauty of the Gulf. Amidst our relaxation, we pondered starting a new venture—offering boat tours. As entrepreneurs, we excitedly considered this perfect retirement plan. However, we needed to determine the necessary steps and licenses. After some research, I discovered that obtaining a Captain's license from the USCG (United States Coast Guard) was essential. Discussing with Lisa, we agreed that if I committed to the classes and fulfilled all USCG requirements, she would join me as the first mate. I attended the classes, learned a great deal, took the test, and passed it. That's why I am now Captain Paul!
The name 'Just B' stems from my motto: Just be... don't worry, just be in the moment. When you're on a boat, it's that special time to sit back and enjoy nature. Lakes may be simpler to navigate, but in the Gulf, it's comforting to have someone else at the helm, ensuring your safety. With no need to fret over tides or weather, Captain Paul and Lisa provide the ultimate laid-back tour experience.
Our aim is for you to relax, sit back, and just be... As you unwind, you'll witness the stunning waterways that Cape Coral offers. While we can't guarantee sightings of dolphins or manatees, they are often spotted nearby, occasionally greeting us. Your desires shape the tour; it's tailored to you. Whether you wish to hop between local spots like Rum Runners or Picnic Island, we will accommodate your preferences, weather permitting.
We're thrilled to embark on our third season, anticipating great times on the water. Just B was launched on January 3, 2022, marking the beginning of an exciting journey we hope you'll join. Our distinction from other boat tour companies lies in our personalized service, catering to your desires and interests. We take pleasure in listening to your preferences and crafting unique experiences accordingly. This approach ensures each trip is a new adventure for us, avoiding the monotony of repetitive tours. Unlike others, we don't have a set routine; we focus on helping you to simply be and relish the voyage.
During a tour, a husband mentioned he was a food enthusiast who preferred local eateries over corporate chains. Armed with this knowledge, I recommended several local gems for him to visit. Following the tour, they dined at some of the suggested spots. Gratefully, he called me the next day to express his thanks for the recommendations, noting that the food was excellent and that he would have never discovered these restaurants without my guidance.
Another tour that Lisa and I thoroughly enjoyed featured three guys from New Jersey and New York. They were thrilled to be on the water. They were the most humorous men we've had on our boat, delivering joke after joke. We all laughed so hard; they were incredibly appreciative, and even a bit of rain couldn't dampen our spirits. We simply Just B in the moment, enjoying life on the boat.
Joining Just B is an easy choice because Lisa and I complement each other well. I have the ability to entertain and engage with people, while Lisa excels at managing behind the scenes, ensuring the trip runs smoothly, just as a good First Mate should. We relish the opportunity to see others enjoy themselves, drawn to my vibrant personality as I effortlessly chat and have fun.
